Hi! I’m Geraldine, a food photographer and recipe developer with a love for colorful, approachable cooking.
I was born and raised in Mauritius. When I moved to Austria at 23, cooking became a daily necessity—and eventually, a creative outlet. By the time I was 28, I discovered a real passion for pairing ingredients in ways that felt simple, nourishing, and full of flavor.
I taught myself both recipe development and food photography along the way. My previous background in visual merchandising played a big role in shaping my eye for composition and styling, skills I now bring into my food work.
At 30, I returned to Mauritius and opened my own restaurant, driven by the belief that healthy food should never be boring or bland. Running the restaurant was an exciting journey, but when COVID changed the industry, I transitioned into collaborating with food bloggers and creating content full-time.

As a contributor to this blog, my focus is on sharing recipes that are straightforward, enjoyable, and rewarding to make at home. I draw a lot of inspiration from classic and traditional dishes, reimagining them in ways that feel fresh and accessible.
What I enjoy most is turning everyday ingredients into dishes that look beautiful and taste even better. Every recipe is carefully tested, tasted, and enthusiastically approved by my family and friends.
