Ingredients
2green plantains, peeled and thinly sliced
1tablespoonolive oil
½teaspoonsalt
½teaspoongarlic powder
Instructions
Cut off both ends of the plantains. Score the peel lengthwise and remove it. Slice the plantains as thin as possible using a mandoline or a very sharp knife—thin slices are the secret to crispiness.
Add the slices to a bowl and toss with olive oil, salt, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Arrange the plantain slices in a single layer—work in batches if needed. Air fry for 10–15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway, until golden and crisp.
Let the chips cool completely—this is when they fully crisp up. Serve on their own or with guacamole, salsa, or yogurt dip.
