Quick and easy air fryer pita chips with Tex Mex inspired seasoning. These are so crunchy and satisfying, they’re about to become your favorite snack. Making air fried chips is a great way for using up leftover pita bread. The recipe is for 2 large pita breads but you can customize it for fewer or more servings; remember to air fry in batches to avoid overcrowding.

Instructions
Lay the pita bread on a cutting board and brush generously with olive oil on both sides. You can use a pastry brush to do this. Alternatively, drizzle the oil and rub in with your hands.
Sprinkle your chosen seasonings and salt. I used paprika, cumin, garlic salt and oregano for a Tex Mex twist. Use the brush to distribute the seasoning evenly over the bread.
Cut your pita bread into triangles or strips, whatever you fancy. Watch the video to see my trick for cutting it quickly and easily.
Preheat the air fryer to 350 F / 175 C and spray lightly with oil. Lay the pita pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket, it’s okay if they overlap slightly but not too much. Cook for 5 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until they're crispy and golden. Add an extra minute if they need to brown a little more OR remove the pieces that are getting too brown and crispy. Repeat with the second batch as needed.
Let them cool for a bit before serving to get even crispier.
